Commercial solar PV

Rooftop and ground-mount solar PV supply for warehouses, factories, farms, retail parks and offices — modules, inverters, mounting and the technical documentation behind them.

  • Tier-one modules from 440 W to 620 W
  • String and central inverter options
  • Trapezoidal, standing-seam, membrane and ballasted mounting
  • Single-line drawings and datasheet packs on request

Where commercial solar makes sense

The strongest projects are sites that use most of their electricity during daylight hours — cold stores, manufacturing, dairy, data rooms, retail and logistics. The more generation consumed on site, the better the economics, because on-site use displaces the full retail unit rate while exported units are paid at a lower rate.

Sizing to load, not to roof

A roof will usually take more capacity than the site can consume. We size against the half-hourly load profile first, then check what the roof allows, so the system is not oversized into low-value export. Our calculator applies the same logic and shows direct use and export separately.

What we supply

Modules, inverters, optimisers where shading demands them, mounting systems matched to the roof build-up, DC and AC protection, monitoring and cabling. We supply the equipment and the technical documentation — installation is carried out by your own contractor or an installer we can introduce you to.

Structural and roof condition

Older industrial roofs are the most common reason a project stalls. A structural appraisal and a roof condition check should be done before the order, not after. We will specify a lighter ballasted or rail-light system where loading is tight.

Ireland: regulatory & commercial notes

These apply to Ireland only and do not transfer to the other market.

Grant route
The SEAI Non-Domestic Microgen Grant is banded by system size and must be approved before works begin. We supply the specification detail behind the application.
Grid connection
NC6 notification covers micro-generation; larger commercial connections go through an NC7 application to ESB Networks. Timelines should be built into the project programme.
