Where the growth will come from: rooftops, warehouses and farms

Residential rooftops: new-build homes are expected to include solar panels as standard under the Future Homes Standard, greatly increasing annual installations.

Commercial buildings: warehouses, factories and retail premises are increasingly installing rooftop systems to reduce electricity costs.

Large solar farms: these will account for much of the new capacity, with many multi-hundred-megawatt projects already approved or in development.

Battery storage: solar installations are increasingly being paired with storage, and demand for installers, electricians, inverters, batteries and mounting systems should stay strong.
